Porcupine Meatballs


1 package hamburger
1 egg
1 small onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped, optional
salt and pepper, to taste
1/3 cup rice, heaping
1 can cream of mushroom soup
3/4 can milk
1 can mushroom pieces, optional

Mix the first 6 ingredients together. Brown meatballs lightly and then place in casserole. Mix together the cream of mushroom soup and mushrooms, if using. Then add 3\4 cup milk or enough to make the soup the consistency that you want. Place in 350 degree oven and bake for 45 minutes. Then remove lid and cook for 15 more minutes or until the soup has cooked down a little.
