2 pounds ground beef
1 large green pepper, chopped
2 cans diced tomatoes, undrained, 14 1/2 oz.
2 cans tomato sauce, 8 oz.
1 can tomato paste, 6 oz.
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons celery salt or seed
2 teaspoons onion salt or powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
3 bay leaves
16 hamburger buns
In a Dutch oven of large kettle cook ground beef and green pepper over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in the tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, and seasoning. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat:cover and cook over low heat for 30 minutes.
Uncover; cook 30-40 minutes longer until thickened. Discard bay leaves. Serve 1/2 cup of meat on each bun.
